Let's grab a coffee and chat

I love coffee. Truly, I do. I love how it smells. I love how it tastes. I drink it hot or cold, and every temperature in between. Give me a rich dark roast, or give me death. Grab a cup of your favorite beverage and let's have a quick chat, okay?

This is my blog. Yay, you made it! Out of all the blogs in the world, you decided to stop by mine. I'm honored and touched. I know how valuable your time is, so I'll do my best to always cut out the bullshit. As "The Elements of Style" says, I will omit useless words.

I will update the blog twice a month. That's the deal. You continue to come by, and I promise you that there'll be something new to read here at least twice per month.

One post will be a writing book recommendation. I feel like inspiration for us writers is in short supply these days, so I'lld o my best to point you in the right direction.

The second post will be something related to writing and/or reading, two of my favorite leisure activities in the world—following drinking coffee, of course.

I hope my posts will inspire you, make you think or make you smile. Of course, you're totally allowed to get pissed off at me, too. I'm sure my post on writer's block will enrage some of you out there. C'est la vie!

I'll be honest with you about my own writing practices, triumphs and tragedies. No sugar coating here. And I hope you'll share your own experiences with me as well. I don't like talking to myself, despite what my dog may have told you.

I'm highly opinionated, but I listen. Feel free to change my mind. Almost nothing is set in stone.

The one thing I will do my best to keep off this page is politics—unless it comes to censorship and freedom of speech issues.

However, if you're racist, homophobic, sexist, elitist, or want to tell me how I'm going to hell, this isn't the blog for you. There are plenty of other blogs out there more in line with your world view—find them.

So let's get started, shall we?

See you on the other side.
